Star of the Quarter
At Active Solutions Inc., we have many unique individuals who work hard toward accomplishing great things in their lives. We would like to highlight these individuals and congratulate them on their hard work and impressive achievements.
I would like to recognize Joseph Moralez for his hard work and tender care that he gives to Juan Montes (we call him Johnny). When Johnny came to ASI (4-09), he was struggling with behavioral issues. His disability is uncommon; (SMITH-MAGENIS SYNDROME). Johnny would pick apart vehicles, was not able to be redirected, and would be all over the place. He was difficult and not many could handle him. Joseph Moralez became his staff right away. I have heard several compliments from the Behavioral Therapist, Johnny’s Step-Father, and also, Johnny’s Mom said the two were like brothers. There have been so many positive changes in Johnny’s life. He listens to Joseph and workers in the community know who he is and come to him and talk to him. Normally Johnny would shy away, now he says “hi” and answers questions when asked. He is much more sociable and his interactions with people are very appropriate. Joseph has done a wonderful job and it is noticed by everyone.
